I am a studio potter and ceramic artist. I completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia.
I am naturally drawn to nature and try to instill the idea of the natural world into my pots and sculptural pieces. I draw and screen print onto clay,
and also add texture with a variety of found objects. The glazing is usually simple, allowing the printed image underneath to speak for itself.
I prefer to throw functional pottery, but also like the option of printing onto wall hangings and more sculptural objects. My work has been shown in shops
and galleries throughout the Georgia coast and was most recently included in the senior capstone show entitled "Exit 2008" at Georgia Southern University.
